In these difficult times it is easy to get a little down as we listen to the worrying news events but life in school remains really positive for our children and this was demonstrated so clearly last week through our Remembrance Day service.
The children gathered in their bubbles, socially distanced outside, and then Harry, from Year Six began the service by reading the Exhortation. Mr Olver, our Year 1 teacher, led us into our two minutes silence by playing The Last Post on his euphonium and ended with The Reveille. It was a beautiful and moving experience – one which the children will always remember I’m sure.
Our new Reception pupils have settled well to school life.
Year 6 had a great week in Morfa Bay trying many new activities and being very brave!
All arrived safely. Looking forward to this afternoon’s activities.
Children from Reception Class visited Thornbury Library and met Kipper the Dog.
